Doing the sound track

When we were giving out the roles in our group I chose to do the sound track that goes over our opening sequence. At first I was worried about doing the sound track because I didn’t know a lot about how to put together music, but when talking to people and watching other’s do their I took some tips and managed to create a sound track for our thriller.
When starting this project I experimented with different sounds and what worked well when watching our opening sequences. It was difficult but I got the hang of it.
Now my final sound track is put in onto the movie and I think it works well with it.

For the dead person which is grace i thought she would be wearing ripped, bloody cloths because she is dead and been murdered.

For the investigator outfit i thought he would wear long black coat and and black trousers and a smart pair of shoes. So he is dressed all in black so he looks mysterious.

Permission letter



We had to send a letter out the coucil to ask if we could if in there area.

Research

The last couple of posts are research I have done in my own time to research thriller opening and title sequences. This has helped me because I understand and can see what makes a good thriller and what aspects working well and how I can apply them when trying to film and editing me and my groups film.

Salt

Mise-en-scene:
Costumes- prison uniforms, ripped clothes, suits, dress, army uniform
Props- rope is used for hand cuffs
Location- North Korea, in a prison
Camera angles:
Shots- Close ups and medium shots
Editing:
Titles- White capital writing was use for salt, and the background used was the film.
Sounds:
Music-  Slow peaceful music with a big ending to it.

Gone in Sixty Seconds

Mise-en-scene:
Costumes- None
Props-  Pocket watch, a car
Location- America
Camera angles:
Shots- close ups
Editing:
Titles- The writing was in capital letters and was filled with yellow and the outline was red, the background was the title sequence building into the film.
Sounds:
Music-  Fast up beating music was used to create an atmosphere for the start of the film.

The Tourist

Mise-en-scene: 
Costumes-  Suits, coats, dress, waiters uniform, delivery guy uniform
Props- Phones, drinking cups, using computers, waiters tray, newspaper, letter
Location- Paris, France, on the streets, restaurant and a van
Camera angles:
Shots-  Close ups, long shots, hight shots
Editing:
Titles- Small titles where used with white writing having the film as the background
Sounds:
Music-  A fast beating tune was being played during the title sequence.



Hitman


Mise-en-scene:
Costumes-   T-shirts, trousers, white costumes
Props- tattoo pen
Location-White bright room, swimming pool, gym, outside in snow, operation room
Camera angles:
The shots that are used in this scene’s are close ups and mid shots.
Editing:
Titles-  White capital letters was used on a black background
Sounds:
Music-  Slow music was being played with deep singing to build up suspense.

Production logo's

 Last night I have come up with some ideas of what our logo can look like for our production company.  I thought because our group is called gas group we could use gas fire in our logo.
